Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly 11 Elite SG Soft Ground Soccer Cleats - Black/Black/Electric Green

• SG-PRO plate with six screw-in metal studs for wet, cutting-up grass
• Forefoot Zoom Air unit that fires back on a hard plant-and-go
• Narrow knit collar - size up if your instep runs high
• Blackout upper with Electric Green that only flashes in low sunlight

Fit warning before anything else, because this is where people get burned: the Superfly 11 Elite SG runs genuinely narrow through the midfoot and the knit Dynamic Fit collar grabs the ankle hard for the first week or so. I stayed true to size and spent two sessions with pins and needles in my little toes before the upper relaxed. Wide feet or a high instep? Go half a size up and accept a little dead space up front, or buy a different boot entirely.

Where it pays you back is the forefoot. There is a Zoom Air unit buried in the front of the soleplate, and on soft, cutting-up winter grass you feel it in the plant: the plate loads, then kicks back with a low springy pop that pushes you out of the turn instead of letting your studs sink. Ball feel through the knit is thin and direct rather than plush, so passes into feet feel honest, and the strike zone stays flat enough that you do not have to think about it. The trade-off is weight - six threaded metal studs and a beefed-up chassis make this noticeably heavier than the FG version, which you notice after the 80th minute.

The blackout upper is the reason a lot of people will buy this pair, and it looks better in person than on a stock photo: Electric Green only shows up on the Swoosh outline, the collar trim and the tips of the studs, so it reads as an all-black boot until the light hits it sideways. Practical notes - SG is for wet natural grass only, do not take it onto artificial turf, and check the stud threads every couple of weeks because loose metal is how people lose studs mid-match.
