- Rubber turf outsole tuned for 3G and 4G surfaces
- Thin woven-feel upper that keeps the ball glued on the first touch
- Narrow F50 last - wide-footed players should size up half
- Solar Green / Core Black colourway that still reads under floodlights
Let us kill the fantasy first: the F50 Pro TF is not a grass boot, and it was never pretending to be one. On a dry 3G pitch in late autumn it does exactly one job extremely well - it keeps you upright when you plant and turn. The rubber lugs are shallow and packed tight, so you get bite without that horrible stuck-in-mud feeling that quietly wrecks your knees on older artificial surfaces.
The last is what will decide whether you love these or sell them. Adidas kept the F50 shape narrow through the midfoot, and the synthetic upper barely gives in the first fortnight. If you have always been comfortable in a Predator, order your normal size and grimace for two sessions. If you are wide, go up half - the TF build is a touch roomier in the toe than the FG Pro, but not enough to rescue you.
What genuinely surprised me is how much F50 DNA survives the swap to rubber. The forefoot still sits low, the upper still wraps the ball like a second skin, and the Solar Green over Core Black delivers that early-2000s speed-merchant energy without sliding into full neon. A training-ground boot that looks like a matchday boot - which is the highest compliment I can hand a turf sole.
