- Fold-over tongue: flat, clean strike zone with Predator attitude.
- FG soleplate: sharp release on dry natural grass.
- Compression fit: locked midfoot, so try before you buy.
- Colorway: white base, Solar Orange flash.
Do not buy these blind if you have a wide forefoot. The Predator 26 Elite runs tight through the midfoot, and that fold-over tongue creates a very specific, almost old-school pressure across the instep. Once the synthetic upper warms up it relaxes a little, but the first two sessions are not a spa day. If you normally size down in Predators, resist that urge here.
On firm ground the FG plate is the real story. The studs are not absurdly aggressive, yet they bite just enough when you plant for a cut on dry natural grass. That raised strike zone and the tongue combine for a clean, punchy contact, so half-volleys and driven passes feel snappy rather than dulled. The heel lockdown is excellent, almost stubborn, which is why the midfoot squeeze is tolerable once you are moving.
The White/Cloud White/Solar Orange colorway is less loud than recent Predator drops, but it works because the orange only hits the studs, tongue edge and branding. It looks clinical in daylight and slightly radioactive under floodlights. For a boot that wants to be a control weapon, that restraint is smart: it lets the fold-over tongue remain the visual signature.
