Adidas F50 Hyperfast Elite Laceless FG Firm Ground Soccer Cleats - Red/Solar Red/Metallic Gold

• Laceless Fibrilux upper that locks the midfoot with zero lace fuss
• Full-length carbon ENERGYRODS plate for a stiff, propulsive toe-off
• Aggressive FG stud layout built for firm, natural grass
• Red / Solar Red / Metallic Gold finish that pops under floodlights

Straight up - do not buy the F50 Hyperfast Elite Laceless without knowing your real size. There is no lace to crank down and hide a half-size error, so the collar either locks your midfoot or it punishes it, and with this shoe it punishes it if you size down out of habit. Go true to size, or half a size up if your foot runs wide, and give the Fibrilux skin two or three sessions to soften along the instep before you judge it. Once it has moulded, the lockdown is among the tightest you will find on any laceless speed boot.

Where this thing earns its money is the third sprint. The full-length carbon ENERGYRODS plate sits close to the foot and does not feel like a trampoline - it feels like a stiff lever that stops your toe folding under load, so the last twenty metres of a breakaway still has something left in it. Ball contact through the forefoot is crisp and slightly hollow in the best way, and driven passes off the laces come off low and nasty. It is not a forgiving touch shoe for a heavy first touch, though, because the upper is thin enough that you feel everything, your own mistakes included.

The FG stud pattern is aggressive and slightly conical, which is superb on a firm, well-watered natural pitch in late autumn and genuinely unpleasant on frozen ground or rock-hard summer turf where the pressure points under the forefoot start talking after 45 minutes. In this Red / Solar Red / Metallic Gold colourway it looks loud on grass and even louder on synthetic - the metallic gold heel counter catches floodlights in a way photos do not really capture. Buy it for speed and a narrow-ish foot; walk away if you want comfort or you play on concrete-hard pitches all winter.
